AHA Instructor Course

Course Description:

The Basic Life Support & AED – Instructor program consists of an 8-hour day which evaluates participant skills in CPR, AED, and FBAO on adult, child, and infant. American Heart Association policies and procedures, teaching methods, and introduction to educational aids are introduced. You must have an AHA Healthcare Provider card issued. The BLS – Instructor certification is valid for 2 years.  There are two AHA manuals that are required.

Course Description:
The Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers class provides information on adult, pediatric and infant CPR, including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag-valve mask. The class also covers automated external defibrillation for adults and children, foreign-body airway obstruction (conscious and unconscious), special resuscitation situations, and other cardiopulmonary emergencies.  Your certification will be valid for 2 years.

Course Description:
The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens Course was designed for anyone with a reasonable chance for occupational exposure in workplace settings such as industry and manufacturing, Fortune 1500 companies, occupational health, property management, hospitality, security, and health and fitness staff. In addition, childcare workers, school personnel, maintenance workers, tattoo artists, and state corrections facilities may be interested in the course due to additional state regulations.  Your certification will be valid for 2 years.

Who should take this course:
Those involved in child care that have a duty to respond to a first aid emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements, such as child care workers, teachers, foster care providers, camp counselors, youth organizations, and coaches for children’s sports organizations.
Course Description:
Teaches non medical rescuers when to phone 911, how to properly give CPR and how to properly relieve choking in infants and children.  Your certification will be valid for 2 years.

Who should take this course:
Non medical persons that want to know how to react to a cardiovascular emergency.  This class is also designed for employee training at companies, corporations, businesses or other entities in which employees and/or designated first responders have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities and/or regulatory requirements.
Course Description:

Teaches non medical rescuers when to phone 911, how to properly give CPR, how to properly use an AED, and how to properly relieve choking as recommended by the American Heart Association (AHA).  An AED (automated external defibrillator) is a device that analyzes electrical activity of the heart and advises the rescuer what to do.  These actions include providing a shock and providing CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation).  Your certification will be valid for 2 years.

Any non-health care professional that needs or wants to learn basic first aid.
Course Description:
The Heartsaver First Aid course covers basic medical and injury emergencies and has environmental component. The topics are broad, and can be formatted to fit the individual needs. This class is 3-hours long and meets OSHA and WISHA requirements. Your certification will be valid for 2 years.

Course Description:
